Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the search. Fairfield County Released Inmates does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems. A message sent through email or a contact channel is retained as needed to answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard web records may be created when a page loads. They can include:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can reject or remove cookies, though some functions may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
Collected data supports a limited set of operating tasks:
- Keeping pages available and responsive
- Sending search requests to the selected provider
- Learning which reference pages are useful
- Finding faults and security problems

Outside Websites
Links can lead to Fairfield Police, courts, CT DOC, parole or probation offices, federal locators, immigration tools, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy policy controls its data. Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites for interest-based ads.
Possible Data Recipients
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:
- Search partners processing submitted queries
- Analytics services measuring site use
- Advertising networks serving or measuring ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, and this notice does not claim that a breach is impossible.
People Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may contact us and request its deletion.
